At time of writing, we are 24 and a half days into April and my health and beauty blog is experiencing a record traffic month already.
So far I’ve generated nearly 31,000 visitors – about 1,300 visitors per day. This is almost a miracle when you consider what happened to my lovely little blog last October.
I was cruising along at about 1,000-1,200 visitors per day. Things were looking good, but I had one major worry. 80% of my traffic was coming from Google alone. If Google decided it didn’t like my blog anymore my traffic would be obliterated.
And that’s what happened.
On October 13th my blog was hit by Google’s Panda Update. It went from 800+ visitors per day from the search engines to just 150 per day. Ouch!
I spent a few weeks sulking while I worked on other projects. And then I spent a few months trying to restore my rankings. I read absolutely EVERYTHING I could about Google and implemented so many different things that were supposed to “slap Panda back” and restore my rankings, but nothing did.
A few weeks ago I decided that trying to work out what would please Google is just a waste of time and it was time for me to diversify my traffic sources.
I started testing out a few things and I’m excited to share some results with you today.
Take a look at the screenshot below. The pie chart on the left shows the breakdown of where my traffic came from back in August 2011 when I was riding high in the search engines. The chart on the right shows the breakdown of my traffic for the first 24 days of April 2012.
Notice the increase in referral traffic between the two. Obviously the stuff I’ve been doing this month has been working!
Now I want to reveal my two biggest referral sources and share some tips to help you make the most of them.
Pinterest and Facebook have dominated my traffic this month – and I expect it to grow even more next month. Here’s a screenshot showing how much traffic these two sources sent me.
Combined, they have sent around 11,000 visitors so far. Pinterest has sent just over 6k and Facebook has sent close to 5k. Looking at the pages per visit, Facebook sends the slightly higher quality traffic.
SIDENOTE: For some reason around 25% of the traffic generated from Pinterest doesn’t get reported as actually coming from Pinterest and instead gets reported as “Direct”. I’m not sure why, but the number of users from Pinterest is actually a little higher.
So how have I generated all this traffic from these two sources? Let me share a few of my methods:
- Include at least one high quality image on every single blog post. This is absolutely essential if you want to get any Pinterest traffic. One of my most successful posts this month for generating Pinterest traffic is: http://www.revitaliseyourhealth.com/top-3-best-homemade-hair-moisturizer-recipes/Interestingly, this post was published back in September 2011 but someone shared it on Facebook which sent some traffic, and then from that traffic people started Pinning it to Pinterest which generated more visitors who continued to Pin and share. This post really took off virally and you can see just how popular it has been if you look at the social sharing buttons at the top of the post. Over 1k Pins and 112 Facebook Likes!
- I STRONGLY recommend that you include a Pin It button on your blog and recommend you have it in close proximity to the image. This will just serve as a little reminder to Pinterest users that they can share it.
- I continued to be active on Pinterest. I started following more users who published things that interested me and Repinned their items. This took the follower count for some of my Boards to 800+ which means every item I pin now generates a significant amount of traffic.
- In March I started building my Facebook Fan Page. I never realised how powerful a fan page could be but with just 375 fans currently, my fan page is sending me a LOT of traffic. The only way I’ve built the number of fans to my page is by having a Facebook Icon at the top right of my blog sidebar.
Here’s a little case study that shows how powerful a fan page can be.
Yesterday I posted a link to a blog post from my blog archive. Normally that post gets 5-10 visitors per day. After posting the link, a few of my fans “Liked” it and a few more “Shared” the post which publishes it to all of their followers’ walls. Some of their fans also “Liked” the post and a couple more shared it which published it to even more Facebook users. That post on my blog has now been visited 193 times. Not bad considering it was initially published to just 370 followers.
- I figured that if my Facebook fan page with just 370ish followers could send me nearly 200 visitors, then how incredible would it be if someone with 5,000 fans, or 10,000 fans or even 20,000 fans could send me!So I came up with a unique method of getting Facebook power users in my market to share MY blog posts to their fans. And it has worked like an absolute charm!
I’ve had fan pages in my market with 18,000 fans, 12,000 fans, 5,000 fans and a few with a few thousand fans share MY blog posts to their fans and it has sent me an absolute avalanche of traffic.
I’d LOVE to share this technique with you right here and right now, but, in all honesty, it’s too powerful a concept to share for free. It would get abused. I’ve written up a special report detailing exactly what I did and exactly how you can copy me. It’s short and concise at about 14 pages and I’ll be releasing it very early in May. If you are subscribed to my email list already, keep an eye out. If not, then subscribe now to get notified when I release this.
Pinterest and Facebook are currently sending me a LOT of traffic, but I have huge plans to double this traffic next month and continue to grow it for many more months.
The potential with Facebook and Pinterest is huge, and if you want to learn how to take advantage of these traffic sources then join Maria Gudelis (a social media superstar) as she runs an intensive 10 day training program revealing how you can get serious traffic from Pinterest and Facebook. And it costs just $7.

I’ve still got so much to learn about driving traffic with Facebook and so I will definitely be taking this challenge. If you want more traffic and want to make more money, then I suggest you do, too!

I hope you’ve found value in this post. Any questions? Please post them in the comments below.
A week ago I published a piece of content to my health blog as usual. I then pressed one button which sent me 2,163 visitors in just 24 hours – with most arriving in the first four hours.
That one blog post has since generated over 2,700 visitors, a nice wad of Adsense and Amazon revenue and a bunch of new subscribers.
So what button did I press?
The “Pin It” button.
Once that button was pressed my image was published to Pinterest in the DIY and Crafts category. It was also exposed to my followers.
Pinterest users could “Repin” the image if they wanted to which would then expose it to all of their followers. And then it could be Repinned by their followers, and then their followers etc.
No matter how many times the image was Repinned, if anyone clicked on the image they would be taken directly to my blog post.
As it happened, Pinterest users loved this image and the content associated with it, and that page has so far been Repinned nearly 700 times!
Side Note: If you’d like to see the blog post in question, please take a look here: The Top 8 Uses For Tea Tree Oil
Assuming that on average each user has just 100 followers, that means the Pin has been exposed to over 70,000 people – and that’s why just that single post has generated over 2,700 visitors in one week with 95% of traffic coming from Pinterest.
This is high quality traffic too. On average users to this page who are primarily from Pinterest, remained for over 3 minutes when the site average is 2 and a half.
On average, my blog is now getting over 500 visitors PER DAY from Pinterest alone and it’s growing at a rapid rate.
If you aren’t on Pinterest yet, or if you haven’t set your blog up to be Pinned, then you are missing out on a whole boatload of traffic.
Below are my top tips for creating a viral explosion with Pinterest.
Side Note: I wrote a guide a few weeks ago revealing how I generate 50-250 visitors per day from Pinterest. I now generate more than that but the principles are the same and you can download that report for free right now at: How I Get 50-250 Visitors Per Day From Pinterest
My Top Pinterest Tips:
1. Grow your followers by Pinning interesting and unique things. Don’t simply Repin other people’s Pins, instead search out and find your own.
2. Keep your Pins relevant to the Board you are Pinning to. If t’s not relevant, create a new Board for it.
3. Interact with other people by following them, Repinning their Pins, Liking their Pins, Commenting on their Pins and Categorizing their boards. All these things will send a notification email to them with a clickable link to your profile so they may start following you.
4. Add a Follow Us On Pinterest button to your website or blog.
5. Make sure you include at least one beautiful image in each of your blog posts. Go through all of my posts on my health and beauty blog and you’ll see a high quality image at the top of each post. Fee free to Pin anything from there too
6. Include a “Pin It” button on every single post. You can use a WordPress Plug-in like The Pin It Button Plug-In.
7. I personally now use Really Simple Facebook & Twitter Share. You can see it in action above every single one of my blog posts like here: Top 10 Best Oils For Hair Growth
I find it helps to have the buttons right above the image for getting Pins. It’s also useful to have other social sharing buttons so if you do get a traffic influx you can get shared across multiple social media sites. Unfortunately when I got my first traffic explosion I didn’t have this plug-in installed.
8. When writing the description for your Pin use something that will encourage someone to click through to the content. Start browsing around Pinterest and you’ll soon work out which descriptions encourage clicks.
9. Use images with vibrant colours. Images with white backgrounds blend in, but the image I used for the Tea Tree Oil post stood out because of its solid green colour.
10. If one of your blog posts takes off and starts getting lots of Pinterest traffic, make sure you include links to lots of other of your relevant blog posts. Why? Because this will send Pinterest users all around your blog where they may discover something and Pin it. Repins are good, but original Pins are better since when something is originally Pinned it goes onto the “Most Recent Pins” page and gets exposed to a lot of people in a short period of time.
You NEED to start using Pinterest now. It’s going to become more and more important.
By the way, if you’d like to see everything that has even been Pinned from my health and beauty blog, then you can see that here.
As you can see if you scroll down, I’ve had hundreds of different items Pinned from my blog and a lot of things have been Pinned a number of times.
Try to work out which one’s have been more popular and see if you can work out why and then you can use that information to launch your own successful Pins.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post.

P.S. Did anyone turn up to Lee McIntyre’s webinar last night? I let you know about it a few times earlier in the week. It revealed a brand new business model he has set up that brings in over $10k per month and last night he revealed EXACTLY what it is he’s doing.
If you missed it you missed some incredible content and I urge you to go and watch the replay right now.

There’s no opt-in, so just head to the page and start soaking up the incredible training. I recommend you take a pen and pad.
It’s 2am on Sunday morning. I’ve just got into bed.
The absurd amount of caffeine I’ve consumed today is pumping round my body and I can’t switch off so I pull my laptop from the floor and switch it on. Luckily my girlfriend, Daisy, is away tonight or she’d start complaining about the brightness from my screen or the noise of the fan.
I decide to watch a video from Chris Munch which he calls The Viral Loop & Viral Coefficient. It’s one of the introductory videos for his new live training course Hook Pigeon which starts tomorrow (Monday March 5th).
It’s only seven minutes long, but it revealed one of the most powerful concepts I’ve heard about. Ever. Master these concepts and getting tens, or even hundreds, of thousands of visitors in a matter of days becomes a realistic goal.
If you’ve already signed up for Hook Pigeon Live Training then log-in now and watch this powerful video because you’ll discover how incredibly easy it is start a viral traffic storm to your website.
If you haven’t joined Hook Pigeon yet, then read the rest of this blog post where I reveal three incredibly powerful concepts, that if you master, will have you generating so much traffic your server won’t be able to handle it.
The Viral Coefficient
The viral coefficient is the number of additional visitors each unique visitor will bring to your website.
For example, using assumptions and simplified numbers, if you were to assume that for visitors landing on one of your blog posts:
- 10% of visitors shared the post on Facebook, Twitter or other social networking sites and on average each share generated 20 visitors.
That means that if you generate 100 visitors to your website, on average ten of them would socially share and would bring another 200 visitors.
That would give you a viral coefficient of 2 – meaning for every one visitor that arrives on your page, they will generate two more.
If your viral coefficient is above 1, then your content will go viral.
The Viral Loop
Imagine, using the viral coefficient of 2, that you generate just 100 visitors to your website.
Those 100 visitors will go and share your content and bring an extra 200 visitors. Then those 200 visitors share and generate you another 400 visitors, and then they share to give you another 800, and then they share and send you another 1,600 and so on and so on.
The more times the loop is repeated, the more traffic you get and the faster your traffic grows. It goes up exponentially.
Eventually the loop dies down as all the people who need to see the piece of content or who are interested in seeing it, see it.
The only problem with the above system is that it needs a little kick start.
You need traffic first of all to start sharing and spreading the word. Chris calls this “seed traffic” and I presume because once a seed is planted, it just grows and grows and grows.
Do you see the power of these concepts?
If you can get a viral coefficient of more than 1 and if you know how to generate a quick burst of seed traffic, you could blast you web traffic through the roof.
Chris is going to show you how to do all of this in his new course Hook Pigeon.
He’s going to reveal how you can create content that people want to share, how to push their psychological buttons to make sure they do share, and how to layout your site to make it super easy for them to share. These secrets will help you achieve a sky-high viral coefficient and enable you to generate auto-pilot server crushing traffic.
He’s also going to reveal how to get a quick burst of “seed traffic” so you can kick-start the viral traffic.
And he will reveal how you can best monetize your website so that you can generate insane revenue from the torrents of traffic arriving on your website.
The live training starts TOMORROW (Monday March 5th) and that means today is your very last chance to join this training course. If you don’t secure your spot today you’ll be locked out forever.

So if you want to discover how to generate auto-pilot server crushing traffic using these three simple concepts, join Hook Pigeon now.
See you on the live training calls
Last week I shared my free report revealing how I generate up to 250 visitors per day directly from Pinterest, but today I want to share a more unusual and indirect method that you can use to generate crazy levels of traffic using Pinterest.
Before I get into the traffic method, I just want to remind you one more time about the live training event that starts on March 5th.
Chris Munch is preparing to reveal the exact secrets as to how he generated 245,025 visitors to his website in just 48 hours.
Chris has developed a unique system whereby he can create a hot piece of content in 20-30 minutes that spreads virally around the internet and generates insane levels of traffic.
And he is going to be revealing his exact system in his intensive seven day live training event. If you want to be one of the students (I’m one of them!) then get access now because the price rises with every few sales.
The current price is just $11.30 and you can get access here right now.
Right, now I want to share a quick secret I’m using to generate really easy traffic using the power of Pinterest.
Here it is…
Some items on Pinterest get Pinned and RePinned hundreds or thousands of times. That means the place it was originally Pinned from gets INSANE levels of traffic.
Capitalize on this!
Find Pins that are spreading virally by visiting the “Popular” page on Pinterest, click on the Pin to land on the original source and see if there are any opportunities for you to “piggy back” off of this traffic.
The main way you can do this is by leaving an insightful comment that includes a link back to your blog.
You may have tried blog commenting before and found that it doesn’t generate you much traffic – but this is blog commenting on steroids!
Rather than commenting on a post that may get a few hundred views per month, we’re commenting on something that’s gonna get tens of thousands of readers in a matter of hours.
Try and be one of the first commenters to maximize this traffic method. If you spot something sprout up on Pinterest that looks like it might go viral then pre-empt this, get your comment in and hope that the viral nature of Pinterest takes over.
Here’s another quick tip for using Pinterest for traffic…
Use Pinterest to find relevant blogs in your market. You can then build relationships with these blogs for mutual traffic generation.
See if you can have a guest post published on their blog for a powerful backlink and long term passive traffic.
(By the way, I think guest posting is the most powerful traffic method available, and that’s why I spend the majority of my time creating content and trying to get it published on other blogs.)
Have a read of this article: Guest Post Your Way To Server Crushing Traffic
These two methods will enable you to piggy-back off of the success of a viral Pin and will help you significantly boost your traffic without investing a massive amount of effort.
Try out this ‘piggybacking off Pinterest’ method and leave a comment below letting me know how it works for you.
Plus, don’t forget to access Chris Munch’s viral traffic training course now before the price goes any higher. You’ll be amazed at just how easy it is to get many thousands of visitors to your website using this formula.

Thanks for reading,
I had a really frustrating day yesterday.
I’ve been looking forward to letting you know about something very exciting for a few weeks now and yesterday was the big day – but literally EVERYTHING went wrong.
Firstly, the website was down for nearly two hours, then when it was back up the order button wasn’t working, and then when I finally sent my email out to you when everything was working again, all my emails seemed to go to spam folders.
(I think because so many people were promoting this, spam filters thought something dodgy was going on and so put all emails with the same destination URL into the “bin”.)
I wanted to let you know about Chris Munch’s new training course Hook Pigeon. Chris has been great to me over the last six months – he even surprised me and sent me this in the post last week to say thanks for all my help.
Anyway, I’ve been really excited about his new release because Hook Pigeon reveals how Chris regularly creates a piece of “hot” content in 20-30 minutes that generates 5,000-100,000 unique free visitors in its first 48 hours online.
In fact, he’s even generated 245,025 visitors to one piece of content in just 48 hours using his unique viral marketing system.
He’s worked out a unique formula for creating content that people can’t help but link to (including websites like the BBC) and that people can’t help but Tweet about and share on Facebook and other social networking sites. And it takes him just 20-30 minutes.
This sends an incredible surge of self-perpetuating traffic as the more people arrive on the site, the more people link to and share the content.
Chris will be sharing his entire viral marketing system in an intensive seven day live training event that begins on March 5th. If you want to be there you need to get access quickly.
I’ve secured my place already (and yes, I paid for it – I didn’t just ask for a review copy because I know how valuable this training will be to my business) so you may even see me on the webinars
At the moment, full access to this seven day training course is just $9.47 but it’s due to start rising with each sale soon. I don’t know when it will start going up, but I’ve been told that it will. It might even have gone up by the time you read this.
So if you want to discover how you can create a piece of hot content that creates a surge of targeted, high quality traffic to your website or blog, then click here to get access to Chris Munch’s Hook Pigeon Live Training Course.
Right, this blog post is not just a promo, I’ve got some fantastic content to share that ties in nicely with Hook Pigeon.
In this blog post I’m going to reveal what I do each time I publish a new blog post that guarantees I receive 500+ unique visitors in the first 48 hours of my blog post being live.
Let me first state why it’s important to be able to generate instant traffic.
Imagine a scenario whereby you pay a writer to produce your blog content at, let’s say, $15 per article. And let’s say that you generate revenue from your blog with Google Adsense and that you earn approximately $3 per 100 page views which is perfectly realistic.
If you can generate an instant 500 visitors to each new blog post, then you’ll make your $15 investment back fast and any long term traffic you generate will be pure profit.
Notify Email Subscribers
This is my main instant traffic source. Every time I publish a new blog post on this blog or my health blog, I send out an email letting my subscribers know.
This can send me anywhere from 300-500 eyeballs in the first 48 hours and pretty much guarantees every blog post is a success (profitable).
Plus, these subscribers may have their own blogs or websites and end up linking to the post, or they may share on Twitter, Facebook, Stumbleupon or Pinterest which sends you more traffic.
It’s essential that you start collecting email addresses from your blog or website because a big and engaged list of subscribers can make each of your blog posts profitable after just a matter of hours of being live.
Take a look at this guest post I wrote for ProBlogger revealing 10 Ways To Get More Subscribers From Your Blog.
Twitter, Facebook & Google Plus
After sending a notification to my subscribers, I then go ahead and Tweet a link to my blog post to my followers, post a link on my Facebook wall and share the post on Google Plus.
If I feel the post has a chance to go viral, I also sometimes post it to Digg and Stumbelupon.
The key to getting traffic via these sources is to build your networks and engage with them. The bigger your following and the more engaged they are, the more chance they will click your links and ReTweet and Share your content.
Something I’ve been testing recently on Twitter is this. If I write a “problem solving” article such as my recent article – 8 Magical Home Remedies For Dry Skin – then I’ll head to Twitter and start searching for phrases like “dry skin”.
This brings up recent Tweets from real life people moaning about or cursing their dry skin. I simply send a quick Tweet to them encouraging them to take a look at my article. They often do, and sometimes ReTweet, too.
With each post I publish to my health blog, I include one high quality image.
After publishing, I Pin this image which normally sends me 20 or so visitors within minutes. Plus, if someone RePins my image (which they normally do) I’ll get a further traffic boost.
Some days I generate 250+ visitors from Pinterest and you can find out exactly how I do it by download my free report: How I Generate 250 Visitors Per Day From Pinterest
Mention Others In Your Posts
Here’s something I’ve been doing more recently.
In your posts, link out to other bloggers in your market. There are three reasons for doing this.
1. If you are both using WordPress then they will get a notification that you’ve linked to them which will bring your blog onto their radar. They might link to you in the future.
If they aren’t using WordPress, they still might see that you’re sending them traffic and check you out.
2. Once you’ve mentioned them in your post you can email them, let them know, and ask if they can Tweet, Like or Share your article. You’ve done a favour for them, now you’re asking for a favour from them.
3. Some blogs automatically link back to all posts that link to them. I benefited from this type of relationship recently when I wrote a post that linked back to one of the most popular blogs in the world – CopyBlogger.
When I wrote my article ‘How To Get Traffic With Pinterest’, I linked to a post I found useful from CopyBlogger.
If you go to the post on CopyBlogger and scroll to the bottom where it says “Sites that Link to this Post” you’ll see my blog right at the very top.
That little link has generated me over 200 visitors in the past 14 days. Nothing special, but every little helps.
The above four strategies generate me an almost instant 500+ visitors in just 48 hours making every single one of my blog posts profitable right away.
Imagine knowing that you could pay $15 for an article, press ‘Publish’ and make your money back instantly. Plus you would continue to earn passive income from that article for many days, weeks, months and years to come.
At the moment, I’m quite happy that I’m able to generate 500 visitors in 48 hours – but I can’t wait for Chris’s Hook Pigeon training to start.
He regularly gets 10,000+ visitors within 48 hours of publishing a blog post. I’m incredibly excited to discover his formula and I know that once I’ve learned his secrets my blog traffic – and my blog profits – will explode.
If you’d like to discover his secrets too, then make sure you get access to Hook Pigeon before the price rises.

(And yes, that link is an affiliate link – I hope you’re okay with that.)
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post. As always I’ve enjoyed writing it, and if you think others would benefit from this post, please Tweet, Like or Share
Thanks a lot.
Firstly, welcome to all new subscribers who signed up to download the “How I Get 50-250 Visitors Per Day From Pinterest” PDF.
The response has been incredible and I think people are starting to realise the immense power of Pinterest as a traffic generator.
In this blog post I’m going to share a really quick tip that took just two minutes to implement that has given me an instant and long term traffic boost.
Okay, here’s what I did…
I had a post on my health blog where I shared a few herbal drinks recipes, including lavender lemonade and a green longevity drink.
The post was generating about 3-5 visits per day from people finding it on the blog. It was generating minimal direct search engine traffic.
I edited the post and added an image to the top which showed a jug of lavender lemonade.
I titled the image “lavender-lemonade.jpg” and set the alternate text as “lavender lemonade”. I included “Pin It” buttons using a WordPress plug-in that adds the button to each post.
The next day I started noticing traffic from Google for the keyphrase “lavender lemonade”.
The simple act of adding that image had boosted my search engine ranking and I was now getting an extra 5-10 visits per day to that page.
Admittedly, that may not be much, but if I were to do that on all 150 posts that don’t yet include an image, that would be a significant boost in traffic.
Plus, and here’s the real power in what I did, someone arrived on my site, used the “Pin It” button and Pinned the image to Pinterest.
Their Pin received 11 “Likes” and 43 “Repins” which spread the image (and the link to my page) virally through Pinterest.
Here’s an image of the Pin.
And that single Pin has generated over 100 visitors to that page in the past TWO hours since it was Pinned. And I suspect it will continue to generate traffic – although not at the same rate.
The two minutes I spent adding an image to my post has given me an instant traffic boost of 100 visitors plus provided me with a consistent stream of 5-10 visitors per day for the foreseeable future.
I hope this quick tip has given you a few ideas or just a little inspiration. Here are a few key takeaways.
1. Add at least one high quality image to each post/page of your site.
2. Optimize each image for the search engines with appropriate file names and alternate text.
3. Make your site “Pin Ready”.
I discuss how to do each of these, plus a more detailed guide to using Pinterest for traffic in my brand new free PDF.
I’ve called it “How I Get 50-250 Visitors Per Day From Pinterest” and you can download it if you haven’t already by clicking the link.
I hope you’ve found this quick tip helpful. I love sharing things that are working for me and I’ll continue to do so as long as you enjoy discovering them.
Just as a heads up, I’m going to be letting you know about something really exciting on Monday 27th February so keep your eyes peeled for my email.
I’ve also got another exciting case study to share soon so if you aren’t subscribed, enter your email into the form on the right hand side of the page.
Thanks a lot for reading this post, I hope you’ve found value in it, and if you have please consider sharing with Facebook, Twitter – and even Pinterest
A few weeks ago I shared three ways I was using images to generate 100+ extra visitors per day to my health and beauty blog.
The third method – and the one responsible for my biggest traffic numbers was Pinterest.
And my Pinterest traffic keeps on increasing. Take a look at this screenshot I took a few days ago after a few users Pinned some of my blog posts to their boards.
That was taken on Friday 10th February and as you can see from the image below, I got 166 visitors from Pinterest alone on that day.
And I’ve had 1,068 visitors from Pinterest in the past month.
Take a look at just how many people have Pinned content from my blog at this page. And if you see anything in there that you like, then feel free to Pin it
Pinterest is growing fast and it’s capable of sending you massive traffic so to help you get started, or increase your Pinterest presence, I’ve assembled a few materials for you below.
1. Pinterest is currently invite only. You can Request An Invite when you go to Pinterest.com, but that may take a few days to come through. If you want to get going quicker then send me an email using the Contact page with the email you’d like to be invited.
2. I’ve prepared a special report that reveals how to use Pinterest to increase exposure for your site and your brand. It’s totally free just hit the link below to access the PDF.

This is a guest post by Markus Allen. Markus has been a good friend to me over the last year or so. He is one of my top affiliates and had the best conversion rate for 100 Subscribers Per Day with over 25% of his traffic turning into sales. Below he’d like to share a little tip, and a fantastic service, that will help you get more email subscribers.
Almost three years ago, James posted this tip at the Warrior Forum:
He revealed how he used a free bonus gift giveaway to get more subscribers (and boost his double-optin rate at the same time).
It’s a problem that almost every internet marketer I know struggles with… getting new subscribers to confirm their free subscription request.
And James was no exception.
Most of our new subscribers fail to confirm their opt-in request because of:
Our visitors have little patience these days.
They’re usually looking for solutions to their pressing problems.
So after subscribing to our offers, they’re met with a “dead end” - a “thanks for subscribing” message with no clear message on what the next action is to take.
As a result, they grow quickly frustrated and flee our website.
Most thank you pages are flat out confusing.
Sure, we internet marketers are accustom to confirming our optin requests – we do it all of the time…
… But everyone else remains unfamiliar with the email-subscription process. They might fill out just a few optins per year. And unless we literally lead them by the hand and tell them EXACTLY how to confirm their subscription, they probably won’t finish off the confirmation.
Even if you do all of the right things, forces beyond our control could make it next to impossible to get the optin confirmation.
Of course an email typo is impossible to confirm.
Also, some email service providers strangely delay sending each subscriber’s confirmation email…
… For example, the popular AWeber autoresponder service holds off emailing confirmations at least 30 seconds after a signup.
This strange delay hurts double-optin rates because our new subscribers fail to see the email confirmation and move onto something else…
… Of course when they decide to check email (later in the day for example), they forget about the signup and might think the confirmation is some kind of sneaky spam.
Is it REALLY worth investing the effort into
Now with all of the hassles involved in getting double optin confirmation, you might be asking yourself, “Why not skip the double optin process altogether?”
It’s tempting to switch to a single optin model, but after much investigation, I choose double optin for these reasons:
It’s more profitable
Every case study I’ve seen confirms that a double-optin-email list is more responsive…
… This MailChimp report confirms everything I need to know on the value of getting a double optin.
Double opt-in lists have better open rates:
Double opt-in lists have a 114% increase in clicks as compared to single opt-in lists:
A double opt-in list lowers your undeliverable rate by 48.3%:
Double opt-in lists even boast a lower unsubscribe rate, too:
Email Service Providers split out emails into two “co-op” sending channels.
Single-optin emails are delivered via one IP address and double-optin emails are sent via another IP address. As a result, single-optin deliveries tend to show up on ISP-banned lists… and as a result email delivery rates plummet.
On the flip side, double-optin emails have much higher delivery rates because they’re delivered via more “trusted” IPs.
Eliminate “form spam”
A growing number of spammers use software to submit website URLs as an email address (in the super slim hope that we list owners will click to their spam site).
These spammers never confirm or respond… but instead inflate the size of our lists (which costs us money).
Needless to say, requiring a confirmation optin halts “form spam” dead in its tracks.
Saves you money
If you’re charged per subscriber and not getting a confirmation, you’re paying more money for a lower-quality list.
The good news is there’s a fast, easy (and FREE) way to SIGNFICANTLY boost your optin confirmation rates…
… The secret is to giveaway a valuable bonus on your subscription thank-you page AND word it in just the right way – like this:
This thank-you page works like crazy.
James tested something similiar to this over three years ago on one of his lists, and was able to consistently get 85%+ confirmation rates.
I’ve got some bad news and
really good news…
Now here’s the bad news… coming up with a valuable bonus takes a lot of time.
The last thing you want to do is give away junk. That tells your new subscribers that you really don’t care about them.
Instead, you want to AMAZE your new subscribers.
Give them a bonus gift that could easily sell as its own standalone infoproduct that could sell between $19.00 and $49.00.
Unfortunately, crafting a valuable bonus giveaway takes a long time, requires a lot of effort and takes attention away from you growing list of things to do.
But wouldn’t it be great if you could ”borrow” a valuable infoproduct from a professionally-trained writer and give it away as if you created it yourself?
If so, I’ve got some really good news for you.
Check this out…
… I just launched a new service that offers you high-quality information products to help you boost your subscription rates (and get those pesky double-optin confirmations).
These are not those crappy PLR or widely-circulated ebooks that everyone knows about. Instead, they’re professionally written “how to” and online reference guides that could easily sell for $100.00 each.
And here’s the best part – this service is FREE because each author is looking for extra exposure.
So we win because we’re able to instantly offer an amazing bonus gift to give away, and these authors win because they don’t have to pay for expensive advertising to promote their own website.

Today I’m going to share one incredibly simple thing I do that consistently generates me over 100 visitors per day in three different ways. It also helps me build backlinks which contribute to long term traffic growth.
It is the simplest and most effective discovery I’ve made in the past year – and you can EASILY use this strategy yourself to get more traffic and make more money.
So what is this strategy?
(You’ll probably be a bit underwhelmed when I tell you!)
My free traffic strategy for generating 100+ visitors per day is…
ADD MORE IMAGES TO YOUR BLOG OR WEBSITE
Before you close the window and leave the blog, let me reveal exactly what I’m doing and how putting more images on my blog is generating me over 100 visitors per day.
How I’m Doing It
Using the example of my natural health and beauty blog, every time I publish a new blog post, I include one high quality image at the very top of the post that’s relevant to the content.
For example: Top 3 Best Homemade Hydrating Face Masks
I find the image at iStockPhoto.com and I usually download images that cost 1 or 2 credits which is around $0.80 or $1.60.
I pick an image, download it and rename it from something like iStock_74354975345XSmall.jpg to something more relevant. For the photo above, I renamed it to “hydrating-face-masks.jpg”.
Then, when creating a new blog post, I open the Media Manager, upload the photo and set the alternate text to “hydrating face masks”.
Essentially, the alternate text should be a description of what the photo is. So if you have a photo of a banana, set the alternate text as “banana”.
That is ALL I do. It costs less than a dollar per post, takes two minutes max, but generates traffic using the three methods below.
1. Google Image Traffic
Sometimes, for reasons unknown, Google ranks some of my images pretty high up for certain keywords. It’s a bit of a lottery, but I have at least ten images that generate consistent traffic from Google Images.
For example, I have one image that ranks for the search phrase “wheat” in Google Image search.
Here’s the traffic I’ve been getting for it since November.
433 visits in total – and an average of over 5 visitors per day for that one keyword for that one image.
A quick search in Google Images for “wheat” shows that I’m in the second row of results, as shown below.
If they click on that image, it will take them to a blog post on my site. Admittedly, it isn’t the highest quality of traffic with only a 1.23 page views per visit average, but would you say no to an extra five visits per day completely passively and for free?
Another image that has generated significant traffic from Google images is this one of cocoa butter. It has generated 270 visits since being published.
Back in October I was generating 20-30 visits per day from Google Images for the keyword “banana”. That image has stopped generating traffic now, but while it lasted the keyword “banana” sent me just over 200 visits.
I have tens of keywords that have sent over 100 visits purely from Google Images.
Add some relevant images to your site, optimize them for the search engines and hopefully Google will send you some more free traffic, too.
2. Fellow Bloggers Borrowing My Images
This isn’t such a significant traffic source DIRECTLY, but who knows how important this is for improving my search engine ranking.
Often I find that other bloggers “borrow” images from my site. They really aren’t supposed to, but MOST of them link to my blog as the original photo credit so I don’t mind.
I’ll often get a trickle of traffic from the link they place to my blog, and it counts as a valuable link back to my blog which gives a little search engine boost.
I expect more and more of you are becoming aware of Pinterest – a new social networking site where users can “Pin” their favourite images to their virtual “Boards”. The image gets posted to their boards and their followers can see those images, and if they click on them are taken to the original site.
Having high quality images on your site increases the chances that Pinterest users will “Pin” your page to their board which can result in a nice little traffic boost.
Plus, other users can “Repin” the image which will then be exposed to their followers, who can again “Repin” until your image spreads virally throughout the site – and all the time the image will still link back to the original source it was pinned from.
I’ve just started using Pinterest myself for my health and beauty blog for the last 10 days or so. Take a look at my traffic stats so far…

It was about January 16th I set my account up, which is just before the two massive spikes at the end of the graph. I pinned a few of my things (as well as interacting in the community and pinning other stuff, too) and have had two 100+ traffic days from Pinterest alone.
Before I even set up my account, I was generating traffic in late September and early October simply because someone stumbled across my site and Pinned one or more of my images. That can’t happen unless you have high quality images.
I think Pinterest is going to be BIG, so I’m going to be back later this week (or early next week at the latest) with a “Pinterest how to” so you can start generating some traffic with Pinterest as well. Make sure you are subscribed at the top right to get updated when this Pinterest update is published.
So I hope I’ve made my case for including high quality images on your site. It’s made a huge difference not only for traffic generation, but for user experience, too.

And as always, don’t forget to Tweet, Like, Plus 1- or even Pin this post
Today I want to share a really quick idea that I’ve used over the past couple of weeks to:
- Get free, unique, original, high quality content from some of the top experts in my market.
- Build relationships with these experts.
- Significantly increase my traffic WITHOUT any extra effort.
Essentially I’ve set up a high quality blog that works on 95% auto-pilot to publish unique, original content and generate traffic.
Here’s what I’ve done…
1. I’ve set up a “Write For Us” page on my health blog at http://www.RevitaliseYourHealth.com/write-for-us
2. I allow readers to register as “Contributors” to the blog.
3. Once registered they can log-in to my WordPress admin panel and post a new blog post for review.
4. I log-in, read through the blog post, check that it is unique and meets my high standards, check formatting, perhaps insert an Amazon affiliate link or two and a few links to related posts and then press “Publish”.
5. Now I have a brand new, unique, high quality piece of content that will get indexed and start generating Google traffic.
Plus, after publishing the guest post I send an email to my subscribers notifying them of the new post and get 300+ readers within 24 hours.
And on top of that, I email the contributor letting them know that their post is published and that I would appreciate them Tweeting, Facebook Liking and sharing on other social networks – and that it would benefit both of us if they were to link to the blog post from their own websites in the future. That gets me traffic and boosts my search engine ranking.
Essentially I’m getting other people to come up with content ideas, provide content for me and promote that content for me… completely free!
Here’s how you can do the same…
1. Go to your WordPress admin panel and click Settings > General. Under the Membership field, select “Anyone can register”. And under that in the “New user default role” select “Contributor”.
This means that anyone can register but they can only submit blog posts for review. They can’t post directly to the site and they can’t edit any other blog settings.
2. Now you need to create a “Write For Us” page like mine. On this page you need to state the rules and guidelines for guest posts and instructions for submitting one.
You will need to link to the Registration page where users can create their Contributors account. The registration page will be:
3. Now it’s simply a case of finding people to guest blog. I’ve used only two methods so far and have had over 20 submissions in just under 10 days. (I have rejected about half of these posts due to poor quality)
Optimize your page with keywords like “write for us” and “guest post” followed by your niche – for example: “write for us health”.
This means wannabe guest bloggers can find you when they search in Google. This is probably my main guest blogger source so far.
Register for free at http://www.myblogguest.com and post in the forum that you are looking for guest contributors.
This has also resulted in a number of contributions.
If the number of guest submissions dries up in the future then I may actively search out writers. For example, I’ll head to some related blogs in my market and invite those bloggers to contribute.
Another idea I have is to somehow get guest authors onto my email list when they register. That way if I’m ever short of content, I can blast an email to my guest contributors email list and see if they’d like to have another article published.
I’m kind of thinking out loud here but there are a number of different directions you could take this idea.
I know it’s not a new idea. It’s been used by a lot of people, but it’s a great way to build a big content site without spending an awful lot of time and money.
I hope this quick article has given you a few ideas and perhaps planted a “seed” of an idea that you can take and turn into money.
Any questions, just ask by leaving a comment below.
And by the way, if you want to see an example of a guest post I’m hosting then take a look at this:
How To Look Younger For Less
After emailing the author of that article, she has Tweeted, Facebook Liked, Stumbled, Dugg and added the post to Pinterest which has given me a nice little traffic boost.
Free content, free traffic and rock solid relationships. The perfect scenario.
